Maria Kropotkina

Maria Kropotkina was born in Moscow, Russia in 1991. She started to study violin at 6 and graduated music school of Academic Music College of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
In 2009 Maria was admitted in Academic Music College of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and started to study viola.
She was playing as Principal in the Ensemble of soloists of the Academic Music College of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory under the guidance of Honored Artist of Russia, Professor at the Moscow Conservatory, Conductor of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia Igor Dronov during 4 years.
Maria played as Principal in the Ensemble and took part in many successful concerts in Russia and concert tours in Europe.
In 2010 Maria was invited to play as Principal in the Orchestra of the Musisches Gymnasium Salzburg. She took part at the concert tour Salzburg – Turino – Rovereto – Venezia – Salzburg. The orchestra performed 5 times different Mozart programs with great success.
In 2011 Maria took part in the master class of Michael Kugel in Milna, Croatia and in International Institut of Luigi Boccherini in Lucca, Italy.
In 2012 she took part in London Gates Academy master classes for strings players with professors Anna Kandinskaya, Stefan Popov, Michael Kugel.
In April 2015 Maria took a part in Chamber Music Festival and Competition “Freedom” in Maastricht, The Netherlands as a member of piano quintet “Malevich”. A quintet became a winner and went to Chengdu, China with a concert tour in July 2015.
In August 2015 Maria has participated in Chigiana Summer Academy in Siena, Italy with professor Bruno Giuranna.
In November 2015 Maria passed to the final of “Storioni Tonzaal” Competition as a member of duo “Agitato” and had a lesson with Wouter Vossen, violinist from “Storioni” Trio.
In April 2016 Maria took a part in concert tour with Amsterdam Chamber Orchestra in China.
From 2015 Maria as a student of Stauffer Academy with maestro Bruno Giuranna in Cremona, Italy.
In May 2016 Maria was performing “Forellen” piano quintet of Schubert with maestro Bruno Canino (piano) in museum of violins in Cremona, Italy.
In October 2016 Maria was invited to perform 2 Brahms string quintets with Bruno Giuranna during 43d Viola Congress in museum of violins in Cremona, Italy.
Maria was invited to be a member of the 2017 Verbier Festival Orchestra.
Maria was recently performing a solo recital in Giovanni Arvedi concert hall of Museum del Violino in Cremona, Italy, as a student of Bruno Giuranna “Walter Stauffer” Academy.
Maria has participated in many solo and chamber music concerts all around the world including Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia.
In 2016 Maria has graduated Maastricht Conservatory as a student of Michael Kugel.
From 2016 Maria is a student of Royal Conservatory The Hague in a class of professor Mikhail Zemtsov.
Maria is a:
- Winner of the First International Competition “Noche en Madrid” in Madrid, Spain, 2011
- Winner of the First Prize and a Special Prize of the Open Regional Competition of the young musicians in Kaliningrad, Russia, 2012
- Winner of the 3th Open All-Russian Competition “Symphonic Vacation” in Moscow, Russia, 2012
- Winner of the First Prize of International Competition "Vincenzo Scaramuzza" in Solo and Chamber music category in Crotone, Italy, 2014.
